1963 Porsche T6 356B Coupe     Purchased in 1995 to be built up as a Vintage Race car. Autocrossed the first summer to see what was wrong. Not much except weak cylinder and poor cosmetics. Restoration started early 1996, completed as strong - fast driver. Restoration completed in summer of 1999.   Note: Chassis number actual make this a '62 (early T6) registered as a '63. C.O.A. shows assembly date 12.13.1962.   Chassis # 122 811 Underside of car had been restored over 10 years ago and was in primer showing no rust. Body was stripped to bare metal with all rust repaired including new lock posts and rocker panels. New paint was color used on last restoration "Chinchilla" a vintage gray between the stock grays offered by Porsche. Base/clear coat finish is excellent. New decos and selective rechroming and rubber done with new Sigla windshield, Ponto mirror and 5.5" chrome rims with baby moons ( 185x65x15). Leitz rack is rechromed original. Have added amber turn signal lenses (not pictured), but have original white lens - in good shape. Have reproduction tool kit and good original owners manual. 356 Electric's headlight relay installed - bright lights for 6volts. Also has LED third brake light installed. Have original painted rims and caps with good Michelin radials. Spare is painted original.     Interior New carpet with new dash and rear panel (black). Doors are original in fair shape. Seats have been rebuilt with Autos International kit plus headrests from 356sales.com. Original steering wheel installed, but smaller racing wheel is pictured. New rubber floor mat, headliner and interior lights. Gauges rebuilt except clock. Have original radio that worked, but did not reinstall.         Engine P*609 918 Normal engine was rebuilt with big bore kit, lightened flywheel, 912 cam. Zeniths rebuilt and all sheet metal repainted. Original can air filters. All other hardware replated. Tranny good with new shift kit. Engine has 6,000 miles on rebuild and is strong runner, particularly with low profile tires and lightened flywheel. Optima 6 volt battery, electric tach, new oil cooler and rebuilt generator. Engine rebuilt using Maestro's videos and phone help. Combo gauge recalibrated with new sender, by Hollywood Speedo.     History of Car Car has approximately 108,000 on odometer. Car believed to have been delivered in Montana and spent its whole life here with 2 to 3 owners. Original color Symrna Green, with at least 4 repaints before this restoration. Car has collision damage on left front with front clip somewhere in its lifetime. Other smaller dings and dents repaired with this restoration. Hood not bent, but braces added earlier and left in. Hood operation only weak point, but hinges and latch replaced.         Miscellaneous Have reproduction tool kit and like new original factory owners manual. I have recently installed correct black regulator and done assorted electrical upgrades using 356 Electric's components. Purchased 6" driving lights to mount above bumpers, but have not installed them.
